Windows Error Reporting’ (also known as ‘Problem Reporting’) can be disabled in a few simple steps:

  1. Go to the Start menu > Control Panel
  2. Click System and Maintenance
  3. Click Problem Reports and Solutions
  4. On the left hand panel, click Change Settings then Advanced Settings
  5. Under “For my programs, problem reporting is:” select Off
  6. Click OK on both screens then exit the Control Panel
